BEWARE OF SCAM - AI Ethics & Policy Insights Remains FREE

Hi all,

You may have received an email earlier today (Saturday, July 27th, 2024) in which you were notified that you could “receive 20% off of a paid subscription” for AI Ethics & Policy Insights. THIS WAS A SCAM.

It DID NOT come from me. AI Ethics & Policy Insights is a free newsletter, and will remain free in alignment with our mission to be a trusted, accessible source for AI ethics and policy information, so that we can all be informed about the technology that is impacting us. Subscribers are able to pledge financial support for the newsletter, but it is not ever requested nor expected.

While this newsletter is in my care, you will never receive an email from me requesting that you become a paid subscriber, or offering deals and discounts for you to do so.

This was a sophisticated scam. It took my husband and I several minutes of diligent fact checking and searching to ensure this wasn’t an auto-email from Substack. If you clicked the link and pledged support, I recommend contacting Substack ASAP to file a complaint and see if any remedy can be made.
